As usual, I’ve been browsing around this morning, looking for little bits of inspiration. I came across a thought, which while simple, is also quite profound. It made me stop and say, “Yeah, that’s right!”
Here it is:
…it is in the bursting sun at dawn where newness lies, and since dawn arrives at different times all over the planet, newness — or wholeness — is always present.
– Margaret Storz –
I’ve never thought of “newness” in that way, as something that’s ever-present and on-going. I tend to think of beginnings and endings as periods of time. A new day begins. A new week begins. A new month, a new year. I’ve never really considered that every moment is new.
Newness offers us so many opportunities. We can leave the past behind at any time and move forward. We can draw in new hope with every breath. We can turn from darkness to find the light whenever we need inspiration and encouragement.
A new day is always dawning. What a blessed thought!
